MatchDay is a sports scores and fixtures app focused on cricket and football. In general:
- You can use most features without creating an account.
- If you sign in, your profile is stored on your device only — we do not operate a separate MatchDay user database.
- The App connects to our live scores API to fetch match data and may show ads through Google AdMob.
- On supported devices, the App can show local live score notifications while the App is in the background.

2.1 Information you provide

If you contact us through the in-app Feedback option, your email app may share your email address and message content with us. We only receive what you choose to send.
2.2 Information collected automatically
App usage and preferences stored on your device
The App may store the following locally using on-device storage:
- Light or dark theme preference
- Ad-free or premium status, including temporary ad-free periods earned through rewarded ads
Network and device information
When you use the App, your device communicates with our servers to load live scores, fixtures, calendars, news, and related sports content. These requests may include:
- IP address
- Device type and operating system
- App version
- Request timing and general technical logs needed to operate the service
We use this information to deliver content, maintain reliability, and troubleshoot issues. We do not use it to build a personal advertising profile inside MatchDay.
Live score notifications
On Android and iOS, if you allow notifications, the App may display a compact live score update on your lock screen while the App is in the background. Notification content is generated from publicly available match data and is not used to identify you.

MatchDay does not intentionally collect:
- Precise location data
- Contacts, photos, microphone, or camera data
- Payment card details directly (any future purchases would be handled by Apple or Google)
- Health or biometric data

Theme settings and ad-related preferences are stored locally on your phone or tablet until you clear app data or uninstall the App.
On our servers
Our backend stores and processes sports data needed to operate the service. Server logs may be retained for a limited period for security, debugging, and reliability.

We keep information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law.

We may share information only in these situations:
- Service providers that help us operate the App, such as hosting, sports data providers, and advertising partners
